Me standing in the sliding door to our "fully furnished walk-out lanai" - or as we call them in Texas - patio with table and chairs... Not having a true balcony was a bit of a disappointment at first, but we soon came to appreciate the ability to just wander out off the lanai and down the walk, if we wanted. And, we were closer to the trees and birds, so it was very nice - very quiet.
Except for the early morning ritual of the calling birds that were a reminder that we weren't in Kansas any more. They had a distinctly wild and tropical sound to them and trying to capture them on film gave me something to do in the early morning...
Rough #2 - with drawn sliding doors
so changes here are:
1) switched out the small desk for large desk. Then I can put that sliding drawer underneath the desk, plus with the large desk I have the top part of the desk, which I can therefore put the printer and work phone on (that is the big issue with the small desk is I dont have that 2 tier setup. Only issue would be that the speaker for the TV would come into the front of the desk by 3" which is nothing
2) I removed the "chair"
3) angeled couch and coffee table
